On the 10th Day until Christmas, we are watching:
Blackadder’s A Christmas Carol is a unique and hysterical take on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. We have Ebeneezer Blackadder and his trusty companion, Baldrick. In this version Ebeneezer is a nice guy who is getting walked all over by his family and friends. He is visited by the Spirit of Christmas, played by Robbie Coltane, to show him his ancestor’s mistakes. His plan backfires when Blackadder declares, “Bad guys have all the fun!” and decides to become bad. However he does so just as the Queen and King in disquise come and pay him a Christmas visit to reward him for his generosity. Ooops. It has an all-start comedy cast with Miranda Richardson, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes, and Jim Broadbent. It is a short film, but well worth the watch.
Not one Captain Little Dude likes a whole lot, nor Jedite. They both find Blackadder boring. I think the whole series was wonderful and the Christmas Special is no different.
