On the 3rd Day until Christmas, we are watching:
Mickey’s A Christmas Carol. It has been YEARS since I have seen this movie. We use to watch it when I was small, but we lost the video cassette (yep, THAT long ago) and never purchased a replacement. We grew older and it just got forgotten. I have glad I dug up a copy for my Captain Little Dude. I think he will really enjoy this Christmas classic. We have Uncle Scrooge MacDuck playing Ebeneezer Scrooge. Mickey Mouse is Cratchet. Minnie is Mrs. Cratchet. Donald plays Scrooge’s nephew (surprise). Goofy plays Jacob Marley. Jimminy Cricket is the Ghost of Christmas Past. The Ghost of Christmas Present is a giant from an early Disney cartoon. I have no idea what he is called. The Ghost of Christmas Future is Bluto. The Mickey Mouse generic bad guy.
Scrooge is visited by the three Ghosts of Christmas and changes his miserly, bah-humbug ways. He makes the wrongs of his life right and all is well. There really isn’t much to say about this one. It is Disney’s first take on A Christmas Carol and they nail the parody. A great movie for Captain Little Dude.
