Risk Factions

Recently, my wife and I sat down and played the PS3 game Risk Factions. I must say it is not worth the $9.99 they charge for it.

The game introduces the rules quickly and in a simple fashion; something that many video games based on board games fail to do. The controls are a bit clunky and are not intuitive, especially when you’re not sober. The graphics are decent. As Risk Factions is basically a board game they went with the ‘don’t go flashy’ school of thought. I was impressed by the audio.
The biggest issue we had with this game was the dice roller. After a few turns it becomes clear that one player or another is being favored. The dice roller is so poor IMO that it brings an otherwise good game down to the ‘nearly unplayable’ category.
