Japanese Candy

Recently The Dragon and I discovered a oriental market in town with a huge candy and snack selection. We will be reviewing as much as possible over the next few months.

Brazilian Orange Pocky – Since starting to review candy we have tried a number of different flavors of Pocky, but this one may be one of my favorites.

Rice Crackers – I don’t think I’ve found a rice cracker that I didn’t like and these didn’t disappoint. The flavor was a little on the subtle side but still good.

Ramune (Muscat flavor) – The muscat (grape) flavor was quite subtle and almost came off as being watered down. While I liked it, The Dragon felt it tasted more like green apple and didn’t care for it.
What I really liked about this soda was the use of a codd-neck bottle.

Kracie Popin Cookin Sushi DIY Japanese Candy Kit – While fun to make the final candy didn’t taste that great and the texture was odd. While I wouldn’t buy it again I would recoment fans of Japanese candy give it a try.

Popin’ Cookin’ Ice Cream DIY Candy Kit –
A cute concept, however The Dragon and I both thought the ‘Ice Cream’ tasted like toothpaste. Would not buy again.
