The Quiet Unfolding
Beloved souls of the turning wheel,
We gather at a subtle threshold. Not the dramatic blaze of high summer, nor the hushed inward spiral of winter, but a gentler crossing. April does not shout. It hums. It nudges. It coaxes the world forward with green fingertips.
Look around you, not just with your eyes, but with that older sense you carry beneath your ribs. The soil is no longer sleeping. The trees are sketching themselves back into being. Even the wind feels different, like it has remembered a song it forgot.
This is the season of becoming without announcement.
In the craft, we often honor the great festivals, the firelit sabbats that mark bold shifts in the Wheel. Yet there is deep magic in these quieter days between. Today reminds us that transformation does not always arrive with thunder. Sometimes it arrives like a seed deciding, in the dark, that it is time.
Ask yourself:
What within me is ready to grow, even if I do not yet see it?
What have I planted in past months that now seeks light?
You are not separate from this season. You are of it. Your doubts are winter’s last frost. Your hopes are the first green shoots pushing through anyway.
And here is the sacred truth: growth rarely feels like a grand awakening. More often, it feels like restlessness. Like shedding old skins that no longer fit. Like standing at the edge of something new without a map.
That is not failure. That is initiation.
The Goddess walks now as the Maiden in her rising strength, curious and untamed. The God stirs beside her, not yet at full power, but awake, alive, and reaching. Together, they remind us that life is not a fixed state but a dance of unfolding forms.
So today, on this ordinary and holy Monday, I ask you to practice a small act of magic:
Notice something growing.
A leaf. A habit. A thought that is kinder than it used to be.
Honor it.
Because what we honor, we nourish.
And what we nourish, transforms us in return.
Do not rush your becoming. Even the oak tree does not argue with the acorn it once was.
Stand in your season. Trust its rhythm.
The Wheel turns, and you turn with it. Not behind. Not ahead. Exactly where you need to be.
Blessed be. 🌿
