Street Fighter II Gets New SNES Cartridge Release

Retailer iam8bit announced this week that it is working with CAPCOM to release a new edition of Street Fighter II for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in late November. Retrotainment Games is manufacturing the SNES cartridge, which will come with an instruction booklet, embossed box, and “retro in-pack surprises.”

The game costs US$100, and there will only be 5,500 made. Of these, 4,500 will be red-colored cartridges while the remaining 1,000 will be glow-in-the-dark green; the different colors will be distributed randomly to customers.

Nintendo’s upcoming mini SNES will include Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, while the Japanese mini Super Famicom will include Super Street Fighter II
