Hotel Transylvania

Hotel Transylvania starring Adam Sandler as Count Dracula and Selena Gomez as Mavis Dracula, his daughter who is turning 118 years old, is about Drac and his swanky hotel for monsters. Like any father, he is determined to keep his daughter safe from the evil humans that killed his beloved wife. His hotel is a sanctuary for monsters of all kinds including Frankenstein’s Monster, the Invisible Man, the Mummy, and the Wolf-man. The tranquility is broken when a 21-year old human named Johnny accidentally stumbles into the lobby and inadvertently makes Mavis’ birthday bash a whole lot cooler.
The whole movie is adorable from beginning to end. I love that Adam Sandler allowed his real life daughter, Sadie Sandler, to voice young Mavis. It was so sweet! I am not a huge Adam Sandler fan and I find a lot of his movies hit or miss, but Hotel Transylvania is a huge bullseye! It was so much fun for the whole family. I was a little worried it would be too scary for Captain Little Dude (age 2), but he seemed to like it just fine. A great way to start the 7 Days of Halloween right.
