Skoshbox Review: March 2015

The Candy

Skoshbox March 2015
Skoshbox March 2015

While we tried each candy, I wrote down everyone’s initial reactions. We tasted everything over the course of a few days. We were hoping to make it last this time. The only downside I see to these subscription boxes is the candy eventually runs out. Skoshbox does offer a store on their site where you can buy any candies you really enjoyed. That way you don’t have to wait for it to show up again in a future box. Just order your own supply! The card even had the prices listed. I love it.

  • S’Corn BBQ Puffs –

:They have a slight BBQ smell, and look kind of looks like a oversized Cheetos (the crunchy ones). decent BBQ flavor. Skoshbox sells them for $4.99 for a 4 pack. I think the price is a bit steep for the size pack you get, but other then that I would differently buy these.

: It tastes like a BBQ Cheetos (why dont Cheetos make somthing this good?). I dont think I would buy them, as I would become quickly addicted to these.

  • Cord Potage Umaibo –
    Corn Potage Umaibo
    Corn Potage Umaibo

Jedite:They have a nice sweet flavor, you can defiantly taste the corn. I may consider buying them again if it was cheap and somthing I could get locally, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to.

The Dragon: you can taste the corn, tasts like cream corn, deffenatly not sothing I would buy again.

  • Fujiya Home Pie Premimum –
    Fujiya Home Pie Premium
    Fujiya Home Pie Premium

Jedite: kind of ugly, not as crunchy as I expected. butter taste is a bit off but I got used to it after a few bites. kind of reminded me of the danish cookie (the kind that come in the blue tin that old people keep buttons in. I would buy again.

The Dragon: Smells like cheese and rice. I’m not sure what they consider a ‘home pie’ but this dosn’t taste like any pie I have ever had. tastes like a rice cake with butter added. I would not buy again.

  • Hokkaido Milk Chew –
    Hokkaido Milk Chews
    Hokkaido Milk Chews

Jedite: Tastes like milk. Not bad at fist, but after a little while got bored of it real quick. Would not buy again.

The Dragon:Couldn’t spit out fast enough. Tastes like chewing milk curds. Disgusting.

  • Kishiri Crystal Grape Candy –

Jedite: These are real pretty, not what I was expecting. I really like the minty grape flavor. Skoshbox charges 5.99 for a full size bag, and depending on how big ‘full size’ is I could easily see myself buying these regularly.

The Dragon: These are real pretty, not what I was expecting. I like the minty grape. I wouldn’t buy these regularly, but they are tasty. the mint flavor gives a nice cool feel, followed by the grape that’s quite nice.

  • Morinaga Twig Choco –
We received 2 versions, one with almonds (Red package) and one without (Green package). They arived melted (a risk of living in Florida any time of the year), but a quick trap to the refrigerator fixed that really quick.
Jedite: tasty, tastes like a Nessly crunch bar, but less dense. Didn’t taste the almond. Wouldn’t buy again.

The Dragon: tastes like a Nessly crunch bar, but less dense. The green one had a aftertaste. Wouldn’t buy again

  • toppo biscuit stickss –

    Toppo Biscuit Sticks

Jedite: They are kind of boring, the pretzel was pretty tasteless, the chocolate was pretty good, background.

The Dragon: the pretzel emphasizes the chocolate. Nothing to write home about, but makes for a good snack.

  • Overall Opinion of the March Box –
Jedite: Overall the March 2015 Skoshbox wasn’t too bad, just nothing to special.

The Dragon: I was a little disapointed that there was only 7 instead of the normal 8. It was my least favorite of the 3 Skoshboxes we got.
